化学性质 

蓝黑色带金属光泽粉状。溶于水呈品红色，溶于溶纤素，稍溶于乙醇。在浓硫酸中呈溶蓝色，稀释后呈品红色；在浓硝酸中呈棕光红色溶注估烧碱液中呈红光蓝色溶液。

其水溶液，加浓盐酸呈品红色；加浓氢氧化钠呈蓝色。染色时遇铜、铁，色光变化大。水中溶解度（ 80 ℃） 50g/L 。

用途 

用于羊毛、蚕丝等织物，还可用于电化铝的着色。染色牢度好，主要用于染藏蓝色。主要缺点是重现性差，大小样得色往往不易取得一致，一般是小样浅而大样深，成基是染深浓色泽时更明显。不宜用于拼色。
